Feb 2022 pop quick take guitar and vocals contemplative
Another quick one about balance and such like
If every day was the same
It wouldn’t feel like today
It wouldn’t feel like yesterday
If every day was the same
There’s be no point in tomorrow
Hard to distinguish between
Happiness pain and sorrow
Senses we can’t borrow
If everyone felt the same
We would never disagree
There would be no diversity
If we all thought the same
Without a sense of adversity
There would be no sense of triumph
With nothing to overcome,
Every day would be as one
If we only saw the clouds
We’d long to see the sun
In deserts without rain
They pray for clouds in vain
We need a sense of harmony
We need a sense of balance
Two sides of the same coin
Together they are one

How do you write so many songs in a month, let alone so many songs that are actually good? This is another one that makes me just think about things I usually just skip past. Which really is what art is supposed to do.

A seriously good lyric and a gentle and folkish presentation. What's not to like? (The nice thing about a song like this is that it's easy to say something supportive/complimentary/nice because that's what the song is!) I like the "deserts without rain" thought. Applause!
