Feb 2022 four-chord-loop challenge girl-with-piano big-female-voice sex nsfw
One, this definitely falls under ‘NSFW’.
Two, I never intended on taking part in a challenge that limits me to 4 chords, but here we are. For a classically trained vocalist and someone who leans decidedly on the prog side of things, confining me to a 4 chord loop is almost anathema. I tend to throw the kitchen sink of chords at my songs, and the more diminished, augmented, 7thed, 9thed 11thed and illogical the better! It’s very nearly an Autumn Dawn Leader trademark, or would be, you know, if I was actually famous. BUT! I am also a stubborn bitch, and something in me insisted on giving the Week Four Challenge a go. And, these lyrics that rose up in me today, they suited a circular chord progression I think. I’m really glad I’ve taken part in FAWM. It’s stressed me out sometimes, and the perfectionist in me (not to mention my ego)was screaming at times with putting up such rough demos, but this has resulted in some definite keepers and some great new stuff for me to be proud of.
Oh, the 4 chords? They’re Am, Dm, F Major7th and E7th
Cauldron of pleasure
Creatrix of passion and delight
Untamed and unashamed
Rewilded and renamed
I rise
All breasts and swirling hips
Desire dripping from my lips
Heat rising from open thighs
Fire flickers in my eyes
Stirring and simmering
Boiling and simmering
Once more
That’s what this cauldron’s for

A trademark is still a trademark, doesn't matter how many people know lol. This is very you and the sequence is lush. Very potent and powerful stuff and great use of the theme.

Wow this is spicy! These chords are gorgeous and the progression is perfect... definitely no need for more chords. It rolls beautifully. It's a gorgeous piece.

Super powerful. Love your held notes over the chord bed, you’ve made really great use of the 4-chord restriction. It definitely never felt static or repetitive. Proof it doesn’t always need an augmented 13/9 flat 5 to sound good (though I love crazy multiple chords myself)!
