Feb 2022 german fuc non-english nonsense lol guy
The good thing about repeating the idea for a song one year to the next is that I can copy/paste what I wrote last year, and it'll still work the same with some minor edits!
So, I majored in German in college. I can hold my own in casual conversation, but with a LOT of grammar mistakes (which are really, really, really easy to make in German). I always want to write songs in German, but being poetic in another language is tough when you're not fully bilingual. As such, now for the second year, I have taken a bunch of sentences from my first German textbook and put them to song. I find the exercise hilarious. Also, as I pointed out last year, there is no word for "hilarious" in German. They best they've got is "very funny," which to me is, in fact, very funny.
Hallo Alle, die Deutsch sprechen! Ich glaube schon, dass Ihr den obigen Text verstanden habt, also übersetzen muss ich nicht, oder? Naja, hier ein Wahnnsinnslied. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass es ein Paar von diesen Wörtern nie ein einziges Mal im Leben gesungen wurde. Ich hoffe, es gefällt Euch. Viel Spaß dabei!

Wow! I listened to it without reading the translation and thought it was great. Then I listened again while reading the English translation and thought it was even better! So funny AND educational. I had no idea the longest sausage was over 5 miles long. Keep being you, Wayne! Miss you! -Michele

Oh, du hast es wieder getan! Großartig. Wie hast du es geschafft, das zu singen, ohne zu kichern?

Hihi :D das ist wieder einmal sehr lustig. Deine Aussprache ist aber richtig gut. Die Musik sehr lieblich. Deine Stimme ist wunderschön. Ein schöner, gelungener, lustiger Song.
(letztes Jahr der Song hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen)

OMG, this is a riot. I especially love the line about the sausage after the cases of pronouns. I remember studying German and going through so much of this. You sound great and the ukulele strumming fits with the spirit of the song.

OK OK OK - this is hilarious. I love the exercise of making a song out of those old schoolbook examples, and I think you did an awesome job with it.
I thought Verses 2 and 3 really stood out because the sense of the story within the song started to emerge. Something about taking a walk after a meal, asking who would you move in with and why, the tables being full -- all felt like a lonely romantic pondering life and longing for someone to share it.
But my favorite part was how that rubbed up against the non sequiturs like "A good vacuum cleaner costs as much as a microwave oven.". That just tickles my funny bone
