Feb 2022 rock biab sub zero semi-acoustic tele
A collaboration with Arthur Rossi (Lyrics) and melody and arrangement Berni.
Guest Background Vocalist - The One and Only "Queen Beaver"
It all (A) seemed so simple (C) and so clear
(G) When we were just (A) kids, my dear,
It was a (C) clear-cut world of (G) black and (A) white…
Glad was glad and (C) sad was sad,
(G) Good was good and (A) bad was bad,
All those (C) shades of grey, (G) they were out of (A) sight
1st CHORUS
(A) I walk the line…
Virtues, blunders, (C) they´re sublime…
Like a sign upon a (G) time,
I do fine… oh, I do (A) fine…
(F) Walking (G) down the (A) line…
(C) Walking… (G) walking…
(C) Walking… (G) walking…
(F) Walking (G) down the (A) line…
(A) Once I cared what´s (C) wrong, what´s right,
(G) Long ago I (A) lost that fight,
And with (C) you, I'm gonna (G) lose it all a(A)gain…
I don´t care now (C) what I do,
(G) Red is red and (A) blue feels blue,
And (C) green´s a colour (G) I forget, my (A) friend…
2nd CHORUS
(A) I walk the line…
Can´t make my hope de(C)cline,
Eight´s not nine, a dime´s a (G) dime,
And that´s fine… oh, I do (A) fine…
(F) Walking (G) down the (A) line…
(C) Walking… (G) walking…
(C) Walking… (G) walking…
(F) Walking (G) down the (A) line…
(D) We had dreams, we had an aim:
(A) Make a difference, change the game!
And (G) now look at what we have be(A)come…
That (D) line on which we both had walked
Was (A) just a line drawn in chalk,
(G) Washed away by (A) rain
(F) washed a(G)way by (A) rain
3rd CHORUS
(A) I walk the line…
Wine is wine, a (C) shrine´s a shrine,
Left and right no (G) friends of mine,
But I do fine… I do (A) fine
(F) Walking (G) down the (A) line…
(C) Walking… (G) walking…
(C) Walking… (G) walking…
(F) Walking (G) down the (A) line…

Great rocking job on Authur's lyric, great earworm.

Very cool song! Love those background vocals too. :)

Loves that high guitar bit, reminds me of Matthew Sweet. I bet this rocks live!

This is some catchy pop rock. I like the gritty, low vocal. The words really tumble out. Arthur always crafts some clever, flowing lyrics. I'm not 100% sure whether this loss of certainty is something to be lamented or celebrated. That "walking" bit is very memorable
