This one's a little weird. So, yesterday was the five year anniversary of the release of a game called Night in the Woods, one of my favorite games of all time. The writing and the characters are some of the best in any game I've played, and since it turned 5 yesterday I decided to write a song inspired by the themes and setting of the game.
The lyrics definitely need a rework, but I wrote them in like 2 hours so it makes sense that theyre not exactly top quality
Taking the 10 o’clock bus back home
Back to a life I can still recall
Wandering down these tired old streets
Hoping to find
Anything that means anything at all
There’s a hole at the center of everything
Impossible to comprehend
And I’m here holding on to anything
Until everything ends
Walking down this dead end street
Closing signs and crumbling walls
Find my way here, where past and future meet
Grasping out
To anything that means anything at all
There’s a hole at the center of everything
Impossible to comprehend
And I’m here holding on to anything
Until everything ends
Can’t help but feel
Like everything was over
Before we even got here
The end was drawing closer
But until the day arrives
When we all say our goodbyes
I’ll keep holding on to anything
Until everything ends

You've definitely got the hook, which imo is the hardest part. Your delivery is great too -- very authentic. I could imagine hearing this on a soundtrack for an indie movie or something like that. Good stuff!
