Loosely based on a long ago visit to a house that changed the course of my life.

Verse C/G Em Am G Chorus F Em Am G
Went down to Rockingham Street
Hoped to find my one to meet
Took the trolley to your door
Walked upon your magic floor
Heard the sound of guitars playing
Songs were in the air
Thought I heard your laughter saying
You would soon be there
The chemist and the saint said hi
Looked out the window towards the sky
The yodeler and the juggler tried
To tell me that I always sighed
Heard the sound of guitars playing
Songs were in the air
Thought I heard your laughter saying
You would soon be there
Full instrumental
The woodwork panels on the wall
Avocado rug and bong so tall
Told me of another world
But I was searching for the pearl
Heard the sound of guitars playing
Songs were in the air
Thought I heard your laughter saying
You would soon be there
Went down to Rockingham Street
Hoped to find my one to meet
Took the trolley to your door
Walked upon your magic floor

Great imagery. Lots of ways to interpret this - I'll bet each of the characters (chemist, saint, yodeler, juggler) has his or her own story. At first I was thinking performers at an open-mic nite, but could be high school pals, or maybe something else altogether. Nicely executed!

Fun song. Sounds a little drug induced, but I kind of know, that's not the case. This batch of song seems to interchange colors and music. I really like that. I would love more guitar sounds in this; an electric guitar playing, just like in the story.
