CW: themes of depression, suicidal ideation. Just a note that this is not written from a personal perspective.
Way out on the moor
I wait for a sign
I wait for the wind
But it doesn’t pay in kind
I breathe out breathe in
Closed my eyes and call
Take a moment in the calm to steady myself for
The fall
I breathe out breathe in
Closed my eyes and call
Take a moment in the calm to steady myself for
The fall
Lifting from the ground
I’m taking in the sights
I’m not falling, I take flight
I’m not falling, I take flight
I breathe out, breathe in
Spread my arms and glide
Wipe the tears from my face and find comfort in the light
Arriving just in time
I find comfort in the light
Arriving just in time
I find comfort in the light
Arriving just in time
I find comfort in the light
Way out on the moor
I open up my eyes
I take a step back from the edge
In search of peace of mind
I find a comfort in the light
Arriving just in time
I find comfort in the light
Arriving just in time
I find comfort in the light
For now if not tonight
I find comfort in the light

Ah, I just saw that one of your collab partners wants to set the lyrics. No worries.

Great lyrics - really leapt off the screen at me - so much so that I set them to music. Had the start of a melody that I didn't know what to do with and now I do. If you want to collab, let me know.

"Way out on the moor" is a good opening line. Moors can be lonely and cold places. I like how you build the lyrics on the wind/breath/flying themes. "Finding comfort in the light" could have spiritual connotations and it adds a glimmer of hope somehow.
