This turned out to be a little tip of the hat to... my head... and heart. As it is, it feels a bit constructed (I started by taking a regular 4/4 drum loop and cutting off one eighth note). But there are parts in there that I like. So, here we go.

Ich seh Dich
Schlaf,
Kleiner Kopf
Es ist schon spät
Mach dich bereit
Such
Nicht die Ruh’
Sie findet dich
Gib ihr ne Chance
Gedanken den ganzen Tag
Wie eine wilde Jagt
Wie auf der Autobahn
Drängen sie sich voran
Ringen zu jeder Zeit
Um die Gelegenheit
Für Aufmerksamkeit
Sorg dich nicht, mein Kopf
Ich seh dich
Schlag,
Kleines Herz
Gib mir den Takt
Für dieses Lied
Tu
Was du kannst
Und ich versprech
Ich tu den Rest
Ist es ein Mordanschlag
Oder die News vom Tag
Das Tor zur Außenwelt
Ist für dich verstellt
Venen, Arterien
Hast niemals Ferien
Mein Wegbegleiter
Sorg dich nicht, mein Herz
Ich seh dich
------- English translation -----------
Sleep
Little head
It’s getting late
Time to get ready
Search
Not for quiet
It will find you
Give it a chance
Thoughts throughout the day
Like a wild chase
Like on the Autobahn
They are pushing forward
Competing at all times
For their chance
For attention
Don’t worry, my head
I see you
Beat
Little heart
Give me the pulse
For this song
Do
What you can
And I promise
I’ll do the rest
Is it an assassination
Or just the daily news
The gates to the external world
Are blocked for you
Veins and arteries
You’re never on holidays
My dear companion
Don’t worry, my heart
I see you

Oh ja, gefällt mir sehr gut! Ich mag 'note to self'-Lieder sehr. Und schön klingen tut's auch :-)

Das ist ja schön.
I interpreted the first verse as being sung to an external little person, and it reminded me of putting my non-sleeping small child to bed, 5 stories, 10 songs, whatever it took.
Then it was fun to figure out that the little head was really my own, and to think about how my racing thoughts are like the wide awake/hell wach toddler.
I also liked having the heart be the bloodpumping body part, and the idea that the head needs to rest, but the heart doesn’t get to.

Großartiger Text und musikalisch sehr schön umgesetzt. Eine Ode, ja.... zu wenig achten wir auch mal auf unsere einzelnen Körperteile, was sie doch alles den Tag über so leisten.

The melody and chord progression is absolutely charming, and the time signature (as well as the vocal dynamics) lend some interest to what might otherwise be a slightly placating piece. The melody and chord progression are divine, a savoury-sweet mix that acknowledges suffering but promises relief.
And as for the lyrics, permit me just to say: the *translation* is more poetic than much of what I see here. I can only imagine how gorgeously eloquent 'Beat / Little heart / Give me the pulse / for this song / Do / What you can / And I promise / I'll do the rest' is in your original tongue.

Supercool. Toll produziert und der 7er fällt nicht sofort auf, das mag ich.
Der Text läßt viel Raum für eigene Bilder.

Fun choice to set a lullaby to 7/8. Personifying head and heart as almost one's children to be calmed to sleep is a great device.

I think the odd time signature works well for the theme. I enjoyed this quite a bit :)
