idk this one was weird.
Her eyes are drunk with darkness,
Open but they find no light
Her head is swimming forward
Too far gone to feel the fright
Just beneath the surface
Of a moment not yet past
She does not know
She will outlast
The smallest crumb of memory
Is a gulf too wide to cross
Platitudes aplenty
Feed the cancer of her loss
She's no longer sorry
She can feel nothing at all
She's not her own
She is the thrall
But she does not need freedom,
She's a seed that burned away
Give her water daily,
Give her shelter, give her space.
Don't you mourn her flowers
If she turns out to be thorns
She needs to be
Herself, reborn.
And she will be
herself, reborn.

I love the finger picked guitar and the chord progression in the refrain. The lyric is engaging and upbeat and relatable. I really enjoyed this song!!!

I really like these lyrics and the way the sweet melody winds around them. This is really nice!!

Pretty and thoughtful song, Em. The lines "she's a seed that burned away, give her water daily, give her shelter, give her space" are particularly nice here.
