This person is nothing like me-but it's fun to write about.
Needs music and vocals.
You'd Think By Now
© 2022 Cindy Prince
Bad boys, good boys
Didn't matter much to me
Never wanted intervention
Tall boys, short boys
Didn't care about their height
But I really liked all that attention
Chorus
You'd think by now
I'd have learned
I wonder how
I never did
You'd think by now
It wouldn't be fun
But son of a gun
I love it somehow
Bridge
Some day maybe I'll change
Some think me strange no doubt
I just like boys in a wide range
Ain't that what life's all about?
Smart boys, dull boys
Didn't matter about knowledge
I just wanted to make my goal
Fast boys, slow boys
Didn't matter their inclination
I always wanted control
Repeat chorus

Very cool lyric. You get right to the point and each verse just makes it better. Great skirmishing.

Ha! Control eh? It’s clever contrasting all these different boys . The point is - you can’t judge a book by it’s cover!! Good skirmish

I like the juxtaposition of bad, good smart dull etc. It implies everything in between. Great write, well done.

Well, Girls just wanna have fun, right? A little self awareness in the I always wanted control line. Nice flow, and constructed in a way that would fit several musical styles.

I can relate to the when-will-I-ever sentiment, and it’s fun to run through these lines knowing that the day when the luster fades and the attraction falls to the ground could be tomorrow for all we know as listeners.

These are fun lyrics. I agree they'd sound good in a punk song!

I like the take-charge attitude of the narrator. I feel like these lyrics would work really well in a punk song!
