I've got two other rejected choruses and there's other titles this could be, but I don't like to be so obvious. Make 'em think, I say! Ha

A Wish
If I whisper a wish
Will it have sturdy wings
Will it be strong enough
To last til Spring
If I shout it loud
At the dark winter night
Will it understand
It needs to fight
[ch]
Oh, I’m like a pebble tossed in the water
And I’m sinking fast
I’m trying to figure out
How to make hope last
I sit with the moon and the mystery
In my solitude
And wonder if hope has a chance
With the right attitude
If I could blow on it
To help it along
Would it discover
Where it belongs
If I close my eyes now
Envision its landing
Will it get some footing
And end up standing
[ch]
Oh, I’m like a pebble tossed in the water
And I’m sinking fast
I’m trying to figure out
How to make hope last
I sit with the moon and the mystery
In my solitude
And wonder if hope has a chance
With the right attitude
[br]
Millions of us are dots on a map
All trying to find our dreams
Which ones will we tend to
Long enough to succeed
Repeat ch

I came up with something I think works, though it turns the bridge into a chorus and drops the bridge entirely. If you are interested, feel free to send me an email at [myusername][email protected].

Oh yes…That bridge is profound. That’s the highlight for me. Well said…

Wow! This really got me to thinking-. So much introspection and good flow!

Very beautiful lyric, Kristi. I love the idea of making a wish and hoping for it to come true. Very insiring work, Kristi.

This is great! Yet another piece chock full of cool imagery, solid structure and plenty of space for just about any musical approach to work.
I must confess that in my head I hear the bridge as the chorus (with a tag, maybe "a wish" repeated a couple times?) and the chorus as the bridge. I think it works really well that way.
