Em D
There is no sun on the moon tonight
Bm C
Little chance we will get this right
G
No stars reflect
A
In your eyes, I suspect
Bm
You keep them closed up tight
Nothing so far as I can see
That might lead you to think of me
The night grows old
And the wind blows cold
On that we should agree
G D Am
The bite was the banquet, Your love was the blanket
C D G
Now you’re gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
G D Am
I’m just a little bit twisted, My eyes are all misted
C D G
Now you’re gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
Twisted around the axle
Trapped inside the capsule
Seems I’m not the only one
Who is orbiting your Sun
I haven’t read your letter
But I doubt it makes things better
One last turn around the sun
Reentry has begun.
CHORUS 1
Adrift in the ocean, All in slow motion
Now you’re gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
A daring mission, A failed ignition
Now you’re gone, gone, gone, gone, gone

Another good one. Good turns of phrase.

Love this Sean! Cool chord progression and great lyric. Love the organ in the chorus and the alt chorus at the end. Catchy as heck too. Well done!

So sad and so beautifully written! I will always love the sound of your voice. I really like what you've done with the metaphor of space travel and how you've woven it in and out and throughout the song to heighten the sense of isolation and loss.

Really digging this track...the space metaphors really work well here lyrically. Solid tune! Organ adds a lot...but I might be biased on that front... ;)
