ZeCoop: I wrote this piece with the definite idea that vocals would work, but knew it would not be a 'normal' vocal song. Leslie asked if she could have a go and when she told me what she was thinking, it was perfect. I knew that there would be many more layers and a ton more depth. What a joy to mix things like this - HUGE thank you to Leslie for really adding a ton of thought and meaning to the song in a way that really completed it perfectly. So beautiful... :)
Leslie: This song is an epic beast! I looped it in my headphones, stood in front of the mic and just opened my mouth. Started with the layered ethereal vocals at first, then imagined the voice of the universe speaking to someone looking up through the telescope at all its expansiveness. The voice spoke the words and I just sang them. Whether it's the lens of a telescope or a camera, the focus of light and vision let us share with each other what we see and would otherwise not see. ZeCoop brought all these images and feelings into sound and I loved getting to add to his grand vision.

Look through the lens to see
How you have come to be
All you are meant to be
Look through the lens at me

Epic indeed! Love the distortion on Leslie’s vocals, makes them feel they are coming via radio transmission from outer space.

Oh hell yeah. I'm getting timeless Jefferson Airplane vibes off this. Outstanding!

The dissonance is so tasty. I want a sandwich with all the dissonance. The ethereal vocals add an awesome layer to the whole. Great soundtrack worthy atmosphere here, it all feels like painting with sound.

The way space opens up for the vocals is gorgeous. I love how the vocals are processed, fits right into the mix. The guitar breaks things up nicely, and the pads that are panned to the sides make my head spin. I'm also a big fan of the background vocals, super nice contrast!

Love it! This song was epic before but Leslie’s voice and words add so much. Love the treatment of the vocal in the mix too. Present but still otherworldly. Awesome job y’all!

This is HUUUGE. Has a haunted-house spooky feel. Those disembodied ghostly vocals are perfect. Intriguing lyrics. The guitar takes it through such dark, mysterious scenes. Wicked good!
