It's my annual song about how much I hate Elon Musk. IT'S A LOT.
Vocals are pretty rough. This probably needs a second verse too. The main point of making this was that I have a gig coming up next month (OH SHIT I HAVE A GIG I HAVE NEVER DONE ANY SORT OF LIVE PERFORMANCE BEFORE) and I have a lot of songs that sound kinda the same, so this was my attempt at making something more slow and rhythmic and repetitive and vibey, nice mid-set filler in between the high energy pop hitz. So it was more about getting the backing down then getting perfect vocals done

these new clothes are epic!
I read Douglas Coupland's apologia,
and want to vomit,
technocrats and teslaserfs,
we all get the dystopia we deserve
hotglueing microchips to monkeys brains
yeah one day soon,
your consciousness will be attacked,
DDoS,
you get the future you deserve
--- but hey, one day soon
we'll be indentured on the moon
....ain't that exciting

Cool pace to this one. The way the synths swell and break is nice. Since it's basically all one long continuous verse don't have much else to say except good luck with the gig! If picturing the audience naked doesn't work then ask them to get naked, and if they seem unsure then take the lead and get naked yourself. You DEFINITELY won't regret it.

"We all get the dystopia we deserve." What a line! The synths are so hypnotic and woozy.
Good luck with the gig. Just be sure to picture the audience naked, even before and after you've played.

Top lyrics as usual. Shooting fish with Musk but you certainly pincer Elon with a degree of elan.
I can never decide whether this arsehole is more annoying than his sycophantic online supporters. That baseline is glorious, bit Drive soundtrack maybe? It has a really nice movement to it (the filter opening up).

That pulsing synth drifting in and out - woah! Great lyrics as per usual. Good stuff!

Really enjoyed that metric ambiguity in the intro. The opening of the filters reveal such an assume bass patch, that's glorious. I do love how it's not a big 'kick-in', but they slowly pulse in and out, gives the track some real movement.

The bass line feels off kilter agaisnt the drum beat in a super cool way. We all get the dystopia we deserve is a winner of a line. Your vocals sound especially cool and dry on this one. I say cool now apparently. Which is cool. As always, some glorious bleeping. Really like this one, get it on the set list!

Love a midtempo Musk Jam. Can already feel that parping brass synth and filtered bassline getting hotglued to my brain.
@pumpkinhead Feb 2022
Hell yeah! Elon is a fuck that's for sure. He thrives on human weakness and that just can't be any good can it.
Great groove and I almost became one with my morning coffee.
Good luck on the gig, you'll shine.
Peace

Another stellar song, Jed! And, your hatred of Elon is warranted. That said, we'll probably be indentured on Mars, as the Moon is way too close to an Earth that might try to meddle.
Congrats on the gig! Deep breaths...by and large, audiences want you to succeed and will be rooting for you.
Thanks for the watch, by the way. :-)

A gig - congrats! I'm sure you'll knock it out of the park. I mean, I'm not sure, I've never met you, but I reckon it'll be good.
Is Elon Musk all bad? He's probably nice to his strangely-named kids. Very nice song - a lot of good lines in here and super production. We do indeed get the future we deserve. Look at the state of it...
