Polysemy
I’m a baby since my baby went away
I just sit around and pine for yesterday
Nursing bottles in the morning
And weeping through the night
I’m a baby since my baby went away
I sit and wonder when and where it all went wrong
Maybe she’s lonely but she won’t be lonely long
Now these thunderclouds are coming home to stay
I’m a baby since my baby went away
If I could only turn the hourglass around
Maybe my everyday wouldn’t feel so upside down
Infantilized and broken a.k.a.
A baby since my baby went away

Love it! The excellent polysemia aside, the first two lines of the third stanza are especially brilliant. Also love the feel and the performance -- I wish I wasn't stuck at my office right now because I am itching to grab my upright bass and play along! Well done!

James, this is fantastic. I LOVE the polyemia here. Your picking is REALLY good. And the melody and phrasing are top notch. This is a song you should always have in your back pocket.
