Because most people fall into that category of raging against the dying of the light and take the poet’s advice to not go gentle into that good night. BUT. He called it good. Why’d he do that? Because, death is a beautiful release. And, I think he knew maybe, that most people (maybe even himself) fear death and rage for every little bit of exhausting existence they can get, but there are a few of us (I know I’m not alone) who would go most gladly, and will go most gratefully, when the time comes. This is for those of us who would - and will - go gentle.
Ohhh ohhhh ohhh ohhhhh
Well, you see
I, for one, would go
Most willingly, you know
I would not put up a fight
Because, I know what’s right
There’s a reason Dylan Thomas called the night good
Because it is!
Most people miss that bit
Or they choose to ignore it
Ohh ohhhh ohhh ohhhhhh
There’s a reason Dylan Thomas called the night good!
Because it is!
And, oh, I would
Oh, yes, I would
And, oh, I will
Oh, I will
I will go!
I will go!
I will go gentle
I will go!
I will go!
I will go gentle
I will go!
I will go!
I will go gentle
Ohhhhhhhhh

Nice write, and a great take on the Bard's most famous poem: the vocal is lovely, and the counter-sentiment conveys clearly.
