FAWM.org 2022, song 21.
SCIENCE!
It is alive!
Waldorf Blofeld, Rickenbacker 4003s bass, '52 Tele.
Disconnect the lead to the cathode, do you see?
Set the voltage of the alternate anode
Can you see? How's the control grid?
Set the cathode voltage and connect
Can you see? There, on the fluorescent screen
Reconnect and repeat
Reconnect and repeat
Feel the power, feel it rise
Feel the power, it is alive
The metal filament is heating up, can you feel it?
And now the electrons decay
(Thermionic emission)
Now power, no more heat
Flood the vacuum with with hydrogen
Ionize and ionize, turn it in to plasma
See the protons confined by magnetic fields
Accelerate into a beam
No more escape, can you feel it?
Feel the power, feel it rise
Feel the power, it is alive
Feel the power, see it rise
Feel the power, it is alive

this has a distinctive, heavy feel to it with those big power chords. I liked the spacey effects as the last section started. a cool idea for a song.

The images and music together set a scene with an emotional connection. This has a powerful feel. Cool lyrics. Really nice!

Those dramatic guitar chords really set the scene for this one. That repeated "Do you see?" in the lyrics has got me imagining a version of this where the vocals are recited by Peter Cushing. The long pauses almost push this into slothcore territory; things come to a pretty hard stop. Perhaps add a subtle rise in the background to stop things losing momentum?

digging how moody and dark this sounds. this kicks ass
