Feb 2022 alternative indie
It’s not finished yet but it’s good enough to share and let future me finalize it in March….
April, who am I kidding.
Here we go again
But this time it’s not same old story
Take a chance and win
Roll the dice and see if you get glory
And we, never lost a wink about it
But maybe it was wrong to doubt it
So we carry on
And it seems weve gotten stronger for it
And we sing Our Song
Never caring if the world will hear it
Who needs, any phony adulations?
Not me
I’m working on my transmutation
We’ve got something going on
We’ve got something going strong
We’ve got something understood
We’ve got something
We've got something
Good

Agree with the other comments - humorous and anthemic and indie all at once.

So, so satisfying the way this builds into the hook (I'm counting the "we've got something"). It's memorable the whole way through, getting better and better. I hope you'll consider at least another half verse + full chorus, because it's just too good not to repeat. Bonus points for adulations / transmutation. xoxo

Ha! This is excellent! It sort of sits somewhere amongst Shins, 60’s pop and 90’s Manchester Indie. The vocals are fantastic and the song, so likeable. The fun backing vox adds humour and the instrumentation is really tight. Such a great song!
