Feb 2022 instrumental funk rock electronic odd-time-signature prog weird
I figure this is a good end-of-album song. I like albums that have messy-sounding idea-spaghetti endings a lot. I'm hoping I still like the song tomorrow. It might be one of those things that only makes sense late at night.
I started this as a one-synth challenge (is pianoteq considered a synth?), but decided to abandon the idea. It has an awful lot of pianoteq tracks though.

Pretty dissonant, but funky! I like the busy drumming and synth bass, and the treated piano effects. The odd time signature is very intriguing! Then it heads into industrial territoty with free-time noise sections in the middle and end. Great production all around.

A nice groove in 7 to start us off and some nice lead playing. Great chords in the second section and the denouement is all builds up to is great. Good song.

Those time signatures melt my brain, well wrangled! I am in awe of those transitions...

Wow… What a fun ride! It was really cool Jesse. Love the odd Time signatures and wow… You blended them so well. They flowed into each other just… So well. Really well done.
And again in some of the lead lines I could hear influences of Snarky Puppy. This was really enjoyable to listen to.
