Is there anything else worth raising? One take, minimal edits, no effects added ... wow. My piano-playing hasn't improved much, but I think this might be the most on-key vocal I've posted here. It's a bit rushed, maybe. But I kind of like it. You?
RUCKUS
You again? Man, don’t you ever give up?
You’re nosing around
like some starved, half-grown pup.
You’re looking at me with those deep blue eyes
like you just solved the mystery or just won the prize
I’m never lonely. Well, not very much.
But I see that you’re hungry for some human touch.
It’s sketched on your grin and it buttons your shirt,
but I’ve nothing for you except grief and hurt.
Who says I’ll never get what I want?
Who says settle for the second best?
All I want is everything,
nothing more and nothing less.
What makes you think you’re the one that I need?
I’d be bankrupt and drunk if I followed your lead.
If I found myself homeless and naked and cold,
I still wouldn’t choose you to have or hold.
++++++++++++
The second-hand heart that you wear on your sleeve
is not quite the bargain you’d have me believe.
I can tell at a glance it’s been broken in two.
You can’t hide the cracks with scotch tape and glue
I don't demand much. I want all the cliches.
Want the biggest and most ‘til the end of my days.
So what good are you? You can’t bring me that stuff,
so I’ll stop you right there, because enough is enough.
Yes, it’s hard but it’s not too hard.
All the pop songs tell you how.
I know it’s late but it’s not too late.
I’m taking applications now.
How dare you come calling? You’ve really got nerve.
If you don’t leave me be, I’ll call out the Reserve.
To hell with your hope -- don’t you understand “no”?
and furthermore, mister ...,

These are great lyrics VERY universal. The line about the second hand heart is killer.

You had me smiling from the first line. It's such a happy-sounding song, though it has that touch of meanness. The ending is funny and puts everything else in a different light. (Look at you, one song from victory. I do love the total immersion in FAWM. Do you think Picasso felt more intensely creative than we do when we're working hard to fill the world with our mediocre musicianship? I don't think so)

yes, I do like it
is this a love song?
