I want to be two places at one time
I want to catch the world with one good rhyme
I want to tell the truth and be
Applauded for my bravery
Open up my soul and set it free
I want to grab the listener by their ear
To prove that what they need is what they hear
I want to write a melody
that catapults across the sea
Open up my soul and set it free
Must I lose it first to find it?
Or see the eye to blind it?
Or walk away each time they say it’s time for me to leave?
Or could the magic in your finger
Find a home outside your finger?
Crawling to my shoulder from your hand straight up my sleeve…
Crawling to my shoulder from your hand straight up my sleeve…
I want to find my purpose in this life
I want to cut the cord without a knife
I want to give it all and see
You smiling right back at me
Open up my soul and set it free
Open up my soul and set it…
Open up my soul and set it…
Open up my soul and set it free

First of all, you have a great voice and playing style - and my first thought was that you'd fully caught my attention and I'd happily watch the rest of your set!
I really like the driving strum pattern you have everything set to. Your second verse really stood out to me with thoughtful rhymes--and also your reference to the listener drew me (literally) into the song. Nice chorus. I enjoyed the bridge but thought maybe you could consider tightening up the last two couplets.
Well done!
