So I think I grew bold. I recently learnd how to add MIDI drums and to record my electric guitar. And I wondered : what do I lack to make a rock tune ? Now I know : a bass and skills to play (or at least program) a drum. Oh and a less soft voice. But I'm still happy with this experiment.

— English translation below —
intro :
Les démarches qui me piétinent
Pas une failles dans la muraille
Pas un navire ne se mutine
Et tout ce temps que je n’ai pas
Pour faire du rangement chez moi
Ces dossiers qui n’avancent pas
Renâclant traînant pour des mois
Formulaires administratifs
Qui m’agonisent et qui m’agacent
Vous n’êtes qu’un bout du massif
Iceberg paralysant de glace
Refrain : Oui…

intro:
And still, I am very lucky
to enjoy my job
To have my topics of pleasure
And children like the ones I have
Your alarm clock rings this morning
In a rather mocking tone
Because it remembers last night
What time you went to bed
But there was still so much to do
So many things to do well
What wasn't done yesterday
Will be done the day that comes
The daily life always runing
Goes on with its hurried pace
And not a moment goes by
From this suffocating hourglass
I aspire like a treasure
To an interval of magic
But it takes effort
and work and strategy
Chorus :
To escape a little from the no-time blues
To dig in the agenda the opportune breakthrough
And to know how to forget the rest
These stolen seconds that are worth a fortune
To find my breath, my oxygen bubble
To cure this famous defect in my armour
To imagine a meaning to give to my pain
And liven up for a fleeting eternity
These gaps in time
Are the tense nerve of the war
To stand straight for a few moments
Then return the belly to ground
Under attack with hordes of kids
The steps that trample me
Not a crack in the wall
Not a ship ready to mutiny
And all the time I don't have
To tidy up my house
Those files that don't come along
Stalling for months on end
Administrative forms
That surround me and suffocate me
You are only a piece of the mountain
paralyzing Iceberg
Chorus: yes....

I'm a rock fan and I think your voice worked well here. The guitar is really great! Sorry I don't know much about the technical aspects of music, but I enjoyed it.

Very nice!
I think we all would love to have a backup band, but you do very well with your own skills here. Your voice sounded good, I thought, not too soft at all.
I bet there's a way to make your electric guitar emulate a bass (assuming you don't want to just buy an electric bass...there's no such thing as too many instruments, right?)

Nice, your DAW should have a virtual instruments collection (including many basses) and a piano roll midi section where you literally click the notes you want in time to the track/drums. it will be crude and rudimentary, at first, but you'll have that bass undertone you seem to think you are missing here. I don't know that you do necessarily, the song sings as is, but it might take you in that respect a few steps closer to band verisimilitude and the "grande illusion", which is what I presume you feel lacking.
The theme of the common joe dad and office guy (who you draw very well) dreaming of a little magic in the mundane, is expressed well, and especially in these great lines: I aspire like a treasure To an interval of magic But it takes effort and work and strategy
Well done again, my friend. Check your email.

Un autre belle chanson! This rocks!

This is a very good start to programming drums. I love the blues and your e-guitar has a great bluesy sound.. Well done

Congrats on learning to program drums. Maybe you can learn to program bass too. That's what I do, because I don't have a bass either. The song is nice, and the subject is quite deep ad powerful. And I love the grit in your voice in this one. I also find it amazing that you managed to rhyme the translation in places. Great job.

Ben j'ai appris quelques nouveaux mots aujourd'hui! Merci mr :)
Bonne chance avec les marmailles... Moi je les évite à tout prix!
