The first song I've (mostly) recorded in GarageBand since 2007, my first FAWM. It started as a rhythm track and improv in the OP-1, which I then brought into GB so I could cut up the improv and loop parts of it. Then I added the harmonica in the trusty R-24 and did the final mix there.
Otherwise, just more burning and raving.
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Marching in the torchlight
Extremists of the alt-right
We watch from the sidelines
Pretending it's all right
Fundamentalist racists
Jeering as they taunt you
Chanting "You will not replace us"
...but who the hell would want to?
We didn't even rage
For the dying of the light
We silenced other voices
For the crying of the "Right"
Proud authoritarians
Spewing anti-Semite myths
Greedy libertarians
Swaggering with selfishness
Cruelty and obscene wealth
Death instead of public health
The propaganda blood they spill
Swells the rising tide of filth
(Chorus)
We try not to see the fire that's burning
We try not to think of so many hurting
We're still feeling safe -- are we certain?
So comfortable as everything worsens
They don't read the words that we're writing
They're winning the war that they're fighting
There's no water for the fires they're lighting
You think you're resisting but you're really just frightened
(Chorus)
Insurrection and violence
Is met with lies and silence
They make up their own science
Proud of their defiance
Punish them for lies and threats
They cry "cancel culture"
They're allowed to call for death
But we can't mention color
(Chorus)

Hey there, still trying to catch up! So many cool parts to this song in addition to the lyrics. Intro - cool! However you filtered your voice - cool. The catchy, repetitive keyboard. The interjecting harmonica. The higher keyboard on the right that syncs with the lower keyboard on the left. ALL COOL. "But who the hello would want to?" Right on. "We didn't even rage. . . for the crying of the right." Powerful verse and love the melody. Everything here is strong, awesome job!

Given what has been going on in Ottawa (& some other locations across Soviet Canukastan) for the past few weeks, this is very topical. You've nailed the propaganda perfectly here. I'm really loving the groove & all the instrumentation. This is a great tune all around, Ken!
