Feb 2022 medieval bodhran baritone-uke fuc past-life-dreams
Part of my Past Life Dreams series. Title is self-explanatory. XD
One-take + 2 bodhran tracks.
I fell asleep
I fell asleep
I went too deep
I fell asleep
I'm sixteen
You're fourteen
We’re in the forest with your hair down
Do you love me
No boundary
We lost my trousers and your gown
We fell asleep
We fell asleep
And your wimple's on the ground
We fell asleep
We fell asleep
And the forest full of night sounds
Too quickly
We're near 40
Your red hair up in braids now
Do you love me
After 12 babies
We don't know who we are now
We fell asleep
We fell asleep
We don't know who we are now
We fell asleep
We fell asleep
And the forest full of night sounds

Beautiful song! Love the image of the braided hair
Love the line ‘we don’t know who we are now’

Wasn't expecting this relaxed, pensive tune with it having such a quirky title. The baritone uke is soothing even though the theme isn't necessarily.

This catches a special kind of emotion, whistful and dreamy. A life lived, a love breathed in just a few heartbeats.

Ooh, a Bodhran and a Bari...I have both, I need to try that because that sounds awesome. I love the hypnotic vocals and music, so simple, dreamy until that line "we don't know who we are now", life does pass you by quickly when you have kids and 12 seems extreme, but back then, folks had many because not many lived. I saw the title and came running, great song!
