Very belated entry on the week's theme. I had to recycle a lot of the musical elements, which as a result don't fit the words, which I "sang" unaccompanied and then pitch-shifted in Reason to a melody that didn't fit. I picked the word "get" because it was mentioned in some online article as being a good example of polysemy. I raided my music library for titles, and if I'd had longer I would have put them together more cleverly.
If nothing else, it does have some great lyrics :-)
Get back, get down, get with it
Get dancin', get happy, get Carter
Get down tonight
Get down tonight
I've got to get you into my life
Get it on, I can't get you out of my head
I'm coming to get you, don't get me wrong
I don't get around much any more...
Get ready, get rhythm, get up, stand up
Get your rocks off, it's getting better all the time!
Come and get it, getting nowhere, in a hurry
I'm going to get along without you now
I can't get no satisfaction, I can't get started
- yet I get a kick out of you.
What do I get?
I get around, I get wild
I'm gonna get you in the end, come and get it.
I saw my baby gettin' sloppy, what do I get?
You're getting to be a habit with me.
We've gotta get out of this place,
you can't always get what you want -
you tell me that you've got everything you want, but
you don't get me.
Yeah!
Yeah!

Yeah! Unusual sounds snd absolutely fab for all that. Like the steady snd solid bass sort of holding it all together and the various layers .. will check out some other songs if yours now!!

I totally get it! :-) Recycled or not -- the track is totally compelling. Love the bass part especially. And the last three lines of your lyrics could support the whole song on their own... Well done!
