When I reached 14 songs, @jerrypettit let me know I couldn't stop there - lol! Unfortunately, my computer is on its last legs. For real. But I do have a new iPadPro with the newish M1 chip, which my iMac does not have.
Soooo, my latest issue of "Electronic Musician" arrived with the headliner "The Perfect iPad Studio," and I challenged myself to produce a track from beginning to end using GarageBand on the iPad.
In the past, I've started songs that way - it's a great creative tool - but have never completed the whole song using only the iPad. I know, lots of people (kids) do that these days, but I did find it quite restraining. Like making up lyrics as I went along and recording my vocals without a headset because I need a different connector than my old iPad and even my iPhone. Plug-ins were limited. But I kinda like the acoustics in the garage - lol!
All in all, I'm rather happy with the result. Maybe my next challenge will be to do 50/90 using only the iPad (unless I get a new computer, of course).

I need to find a way
I need to find a way
I need to find a way
Some way to keep me safe
I need to find a way
I need to find a way
You were always there for me
Needed you so much
Can't you see
I need to find a way
I need to find a way

Love those little shooting sounds at the start, very cool. The whole track has a lovely chilled vibe. I really like the melody in the 'You were always there' verse. Great counterpoint to the main hook. Well done for not stopping at 14!

real nice, the arrangement is almost like a dream cave that the vocal is negotiating (internally and literally). Well done... the breakdown is real poignant, plenty of time for the listenr to reflect and feel.

Awesome! Really creative use of the iPad? Dig the vibe of this tune a lot. Love hearing about your creative experimenting!

Glad to have "shamed" you into yet another song! ;-)
I subscribed to ELECTRONIC MUSICIAN for years--not sure why I quit. Now is just get SOS Magazine and COMPUTER MUSIC magazine--both of which arrive on MY new iPad. :-)
Hey, this one was a lot different and I like it a LOT. Do just...one more, okay? (Or, you know, more...)

I love this! The vocals came out really well. And I really love the bit near the end, around 1:48 where the softer melody comes in. Was definitely craving more when it ended.

i have always like songs in which minimal lyrics circulate around one central motif.
