Feb 2022 horror soundscape spoken-word arty cinematic
The rest of the song title is "you say the same words over and over they start to sound ridiculous and then after a while, if you keep saying them long enough you start to creep yourself out" but that's a little bit long.
I got some birthday pennies and I splurged on a brand new plugin from Native Instruments called Sequis, and it's chaotic and cinematic and pretentious, and I luff it.
This is more or less an excuse to try it out. This is the very first thing I made and I thought, ooh, I could do some spoken word to that, et voila. Ended up creeping myself out a bit too.
Best enjoyed on headphones and probably with the lights off for full horror experience.
Artichoke, Confabulation, Dichotomy, Ambulance.
(If you see me.)

Just me or is the most terrifying thing trying to draw connections between the words? Kidding - the scary bit is the overheard-in-the-asylum style vowel sounds in the last half minute or so. Proper Silent Hill territory, that. Before that I actually thought it finely balanced the line between chilling and meditative, but clearly that was luring me into a false sense of security.
Love the sound choices. Looking forward to hearing what else comes out of your new box of tricks.

Haha I love that! I used to write some horror back in the day, and that is definitely a great soundscape to put spoken word against. The whispered 'if you see me' is especially creepy.
