Some days it doesn't pay to get outta bed
I'll take a coffee and lay here instead
Don't want the TV, I like radio
Stay lost in my head, you know how that goes
The weather won't stop, it just seems to rain
Don't wanna bring you down,
Don't like to complain
Those city streets are filled with passing cars
But here in my bed they sound like shooting stars
Don't touch the blind
I'm in a fragile state of mind
Can't you see?
It's all too much for me
When I close my eyes
I can stop the world outside
And dream of better things instead

This is an impressive tune bud. Sounds like you pushing yourself and that often yields excellent results. Damn solid lyrics too.

Again, really strong lyrics put together in such a clear simple manner. I love how the "instead" at the end of the "don't touch the blind" verse rhymes with nothing in that verse but goes all the way back to "bed"... very powerful distance, as in the dreaming. Good stuff.

Feckin great song Matt. Love the smooth acoustic strum driving it along. Great title and lyrics anyone can relate to.

Great one take song. The guitar and vocals sound great, particularly considering it being a one take. One microphone? Thumbs up for your singing and vocal phrasing.

I like the accuracy of the camera focus in the cover art. About the song instead I'd say I can relate the story told here. Just trying to find a reason to smile. Happily this song is one :)
