I had this guitar idea a year ago that never came to fruition. The lyrics just poured out of me and I did a few vocal takes with this. Don't know. Need to sit with this one. This is a "maybe" for me. We shall see...
DOWN TO SIZE

CHORUS:
And if you say you're in the middle
Then, what can cut you down to size?
What then - when don't care about those around you
The danger falls far away from your eyes
I have known this path forever
But every time I would take a step
I would falter because of someone clever
Who would poison my very grace and grip
They told me that they always loved me
When i should have seen the danger there
For behind their backs were the lever
That was pulled behind them and stuck years back
Had I known that everyone has lying
Would I have run ahead of the pack?
REPEAT CHORUS
A few lessons were under my belt
I was really ready to give it a try
When, once again, my heart would begin to melt
Because of my true love's weary cry
I had to stay to save my lover
She had the happiness in her hands - that's key
But all at once it shattered,
Once again, I was spinning in circles and defeat
Had I known that it was a mirror
Would I have run again from me?
BRIDGE:
We've all gotta grow up and live sometime
We can no longer blame our space
But we have to learn what the catch is
We really control our destiny
The shiny objects and people
Can feel good for the time being
Until they decay in front of our eyes
Will it be too late - will it be our demise?

Those guitar riffs are awesome! I also like that you start with the chorus. It's kind of jarring, but I think it's jarring in a good way. The sus chords that you're using... pretty sure they're sus chords... really add to the flavor of the song.
