Feb 2022 non-rap one-note xylophone zanny
This is a zanny diatribe that I call non-rap. I'm an old suburban white guy so I don't think I can rap, and besides the rhythm is definitely not rap.
Of course zanny requires xylophone and cowbell. The main sound is '70s Clav in GarageBand with the tone tweaked. I hope you enjoy my craziness.
It’s allowing us to shop
It’s allowing us to talk
It’s allowing us to see friends
It’s allowing us to play
It’s allowing us to be naughty and to beg and to steal
to act all haughty and be anything but real
It’s allowing us to denigrate, to desecrate and berate
to instigate and to help to spread the hate
It’s allowing us to intimidate, to subjugate, to imitate,
to masturbate and to tell our friends that we’ll be late
It’s allowing us to shame
It’s allowing us to blame
It’s allowing us to call names
It’s allowing us to act lame
It’s allowing us to call in sick so we can write a song
to play music and to zoom in so we can sing along
It’s allowing us to advertise to organize to sympathize
to criticize and spread all those vicious lies
It’s allowing us to share bad jokes and stupid memes
to say truly awful stuff just to make a scene
It’s allowing us to waste away while pretending to be healthy
to brag and boast and stroke ourselves “look at me I’m wealthy”
to work much longer hours and interrupt our sleep
to independently march in step with all the other sheep
but what if it stopped allowing us?
Oh go fund me!

Ha ha! This is great. Love these lyrics. So many great lines! Also love this catchy tune and very fitting choice of instruments for accompaniment. And who can resist a cowbell? What a great song! Love everything about it.

Great vibe! The repetition and rhymes with your singing is so cool. Spit fire. Really fun but also sinister. Brilliant!

The slightly-nervous/anxious vocal on this one reminds me of David Byrne. Love the last line especially. Good work!

Sounds like only fools and horses! Which is a good thing :)
Internets so good and so bad, love the topic. It’s a messed up world!

So kooky and dark, weird and wonderfully disturbed! So glad I stumbled onto this. Some serious stuff hiding under all that playful silliness.

Ha! This music is so much fun and delightfully fun with many pointed lyrics with a message that is important. Love the xylophone, cowbell, and drive of the music. Great job!
