I'll take the "W3 Polysemy" designation for this one. Both words in the title actually apply, as far as words that have multiple meanings. (Really, doesn't every word, when you stop and think about it?) Chances are, when you first see the title of this song, you're going to imagine it's about something very different from what it actually is about. This song would also qualify if there was a "personification" challenge...it is not about a human being.
You been out of commission
Hiding away
I barely remember
The sound that you made
I tried many times
To cure what ailed you
Bring you back to life
Feel like I betrayed you
But I was told
By those in the know
You were terminal they said to
Let you go
But no, I wasn’t gonna let you go
I knew that all those years ago
And I kept you safe and I kept you sound
Till I found someone who could bring you around
Now I have heard
And I’ve been told
You are cured
And you’re coming home
And I’ll be here
Like I’ve been all along
We’ll reunite
And play a song

I dig everything about this. Loved the little parallel note moves to start before the groove kicks in. And the groove is terrific, love the way all these chords sound.
Guys are saying guitar but I think the *car* is darn pretty :-) And a lot more memorable of an experience to keep safe for a couple decades when it's not running imo :-)
You're going to do 9 more songs for us this weekend, right? Right?

Great groove and love the extended metaphor throughout. I am guessing... guitar? Either way... glad you are reunited and playing this song for us!

It's the guitar, right?? Even if it's not, polysemy allows me to say it is, and it's awesome.

I like the intro and then how it goes into that folky funky groove.
I like the slightly vague lyric, maybe about getting a repaired (cured) guitar back... perhaps?
Cool tune.

A blues song about a reunion. Interesting choice! And a good listen.

Really cool bluesy strumming. Love that chord progression. The lyrics are really interesting and not what I would normally expect from this genre, which is cool. Love this!
