Just saw this, and wanted to write a quick one.
My Home, My Ireland
© 2022 Cindy Prince
I fell in love with an Irish lad
He was a boy like no one else
In the glen we loved like mad
I think I could hear some bells
I fell in love with his country
The green magnificant land
I feel like I've been there a century
And now I have changed my plan
Chorus
I want to live and breathe Ireland
I want to wed in the glen
I want to adopt all their ways
And I never want to leave again
My home, my Ireland
I fell in love with his culture
So open and wild and free
I know this is my future
I have found where I need to be
Repeat chorus

You can hear my melody line at https://fawm.org/songs/134780/. This will be turned into one of the #harmonychallenge songs.

Great flow to the line "I want to wed in the glen." And I really like glen/again/Ireland triplet rhyme. Very tight write, great title, nice!
@vainhirvain Feb 2022
Intercultural love relationships, a sweet topic! It's definitely an advantage to be able to love the cultural origins of the better half :)
@sheilerk Feb 2022
I'm told the greens in Ireland are like no other. I'm hoping I get a chance to find out. Your verses only make that dream stronger!
@pearlmanhattan Feb 2022
Love this! Well done as always. Thanks so much!

So, we're claiming these lyrics as Song 2 of the Harmony Singers Challenge: https://fawm.org/forums/topic/12729/

Sweet sentiment, nice rhyming and near-rhyming. I'm loving what Ireland is doing to us this skirmish!
@wylddandelyon Feb 2022
A lovely, hopeful love song. Ireland has too many sad ones. I like it.
@porrectus Feb 2022
Nice write, good rhythm, good rhyme. Ireland. Well done.
@berni1954 Feb 2022
Yes, Ireland will do that to you... until you spend a couple of years experiencing Irish weather. Then you'll fall for a passing Catalan in Ireland to learn English instead and head off with him to the Sunny Mediterranean :-)
@andrea Feb 2022
This is so sweet. A lovely love song :) Nice skirmish.
@corinnecurcio Feb 2022
Really nicely done, Cindy! Makes me wanna go there!
@tcelliott Feb 2022
I like the simple story, the profession of love of lad and land. Great take on the prompt.
@tiller2 Feb 2022
Lovely description, Cindy, I can picture the story perfectly, and the sense of longing is easy to identify with. And I love the humorous touch: "we loved like mad/I think I could hear some bells."
@ajna1960 Feb 2022
Oh great take on the prompt ! The images conjured up and quite clear and evocative.
@mikeskliar Feb 2022
nice one! (is there a part two when the person goes there and finds either its lived up to expectations, or it hasn't? ) :)
@kenmattsson Feb 2022
Damn! This would so work for the harmony challenge!!!!!!!
