True story: So, my friend (who is also a musician) and me were joking during a bad day at work about "rabbits that have eaten the power steering hoses because they're made out of soy." I laughed SO HARD at that predicament. With this music idea, it wasn't working as a collab. So, I half-jokingly said, "dude, I'm gonna write a song about rabbits. Seriously..." So, this music seemed fitting. And I LOVE the story "Watership Down" by Richard Adams (a book that EVERYONE should read.) Hence, this tune.
(DISCLAIMER: The lyrics may NOT be in order since I sang as the music moved me to do. So, my apologies for that.)
FIVER'S PLIGHT (IN MY EYES)

It's not the lack of understanding
But I fear that they won't heed my message
They sneer because they don't feel what I feel
The air it crackles under my skin
They laugh at my small frame and stature
I've never fit in anywhere here
The only one who may believe me
Is the leader - I'll try to sway his mane
Everyone has their role to play
Just as life had settled in for them
The danger looms all around and I can't
Explain the doom - or the how and the why
But you can't change the minds
Of those who don't (or simply won't) see the light
But there may be hope for us
If they see the love and the care that's in my eyes
Yes, there are the storytellers
Their gift is astounding to tell the truth
They can riff right off the cuff
For them it's breathing, for us it's a beacon of proof
Looks like we're off for the adventure
Some will kick and scream for yesterday
You can always revisit home but no matter the gesture
Once you leave, it'll never be the same
I can't ever see the whole picture
But I feel it nonetheless today
It's inevitable that we must step and walk together
If we are to see the next day
(If we are to see the sun in its haze...in its craze...in our amaze....
...as we walk and live amongst this maze...)

Great song, the lyrics a bit strange (what google translate makes of it anyway) but played and sung really beautifully.

Love the urgent, propulsive guitar under this ....

Always up for a bit of bunnycore ... live watershed down... a friend of mine made a great track sampling the Richard Adams vinyl audio book, which is a wonderful telling. Great tune
