This is the tale of a humble little home computer that suddenly achieves sentience and proceeds to conquer the world.
Here are @cairobraga's Liner Notes;
I wanted to use that last note on @sph 's segment and also embrace the MAD WITH POWER title. at the same time, I wanted to experiment with doing everything with my stereo mic and my bedroom to create a "sound room". so, as one does, I made a choir of myself with 21 layers of vocals in different octaves and characters singing the words "drunkenness, eternity, omnipotence, opportunity" in Portuguese and sprinkled it with percussion played on my lyrics notebook, an empty 6L bottle of water, a fork, my fingers and my Eurovision mug.

This is a lot of fun! @fuzzy, I believe I hear an old electric chord organ on your section? I have one of those too, and "All right, let's fire this thing up and see if it works" is pretty much what goes through my head every time I turn it on (along with "Just please don't burn the house down" lol). I thought about using it for a song this year, but it just didn't end up happening.

Aw haha that was awesome!!
@alonetogether Mar 2022
this just kept going and going and i was gripped the entire way. MORE!

This was lots of fun. I totally understand the sorts of songs @burrsettles is mentioning, and I agree. It does feel a lot like something from Pink Floyd's Umma Gumma, or the half of the Beatle's White Album that I liked and my ex did not.
@mistermann Feb 2022
This is definitely a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. If you embrace the way it’s just going to continuously keep you off-kilter and roll with it this is a wild wild ride across a constantly evolving experimental soundscape. Love it. Great job all.
@burrsettles Feb 2022
this is actually the first "weirdo" corpse i've ever listened to and... the whole thing works surprisingly well! not unlike the sort of sound art you might have heard on a late beatles or early pink floyd record. very nice work everyone, these segments actually flow really well into each other!
@pfoo Feb 2022
These were all fun to listen to, and some common themes emerging around "power". That transition to the choir was surprisingly smooth and a great way to go out!
@heliosonorous Feb 2022
Great mad with power theme in here, the laughter and extra sounds all really enhance this track.
@cairobraga Feb 2022
I am so glad we all were able to convey the MAD WITH POWER name, what an amazing trip full of amazing sounds. I had a lot of fun making my segment and was smiling the whole time when I listened to the whole thing for the first time. yay for corpses, yay for experimental, yay for weirdos!

Vacuum cleaners: Accordions with only the pully.
@sph Feb 2022
It's always fun to hear how your own sonic creation behaves in the final track. I have to confess that I totally forgot what I send to @fuzzy. Now here's a fully fledged novel of a little home computer. That choir at the end surprised me at first but it rounds it off just right. Beautiful stream of weirdness

As terrified as I am of the what seems to be the inevitable at this point robopocalypse. If I was to fire up a computer that sounded like that first little fella did I would be delighted, all the way up until it built itself a chainsaw arm and started hacking folks... was that the Imperial march in there? LOL. Did this thing play itself a theme song for all the ensuing carnage? This was wonderful from start to finish.
@bradbrubaker Feb 2022
I realize this is painfully serious classical music, but I still clapped between movements.
But seriously, fun getting weird with y'all!
@shutyatrap Feb 2022
Great fun listening to this with all sorts of strange stuff entertaining me. Love the way it unpredictably changes throughout but still sticks together as one piece. Excellent transitions in achieving this.
@nadine Feb 2022
This is exactly the right title. This evil laughter, than these organs, a dying computer and a choir. The sounds you created feel like pieces of a professional audio drama.
@dragondreams Feb 2022
There are days when I love living alone.
And then there are days where I listen to a tune like this and wish I had someone to hide behind!
This is pure comedy gold! As well as being one Hell of a piece of music.
As always, I'm blown away by the sheer coherence of the piece. It definitely tells a story. And the ending caught me totally by surprise!
Kudos to all involved. :-)
