Wrong place, wrong time but it wasn’t my fault
I covered for my brother, now I’m taking the fall.
He says now he owes me, but I don’t know
I ain’t holding my breath, that’s just how he rolls
I’ll make him make it up to me, I guess
As soon as I get off of house arrest.
I go to work but then I gotta go home
Then I’m good as long as I don’t get too far from my phone
By now Jimmy’s in Texas or Mexico
But he don’t call, he don’t want me to know
Maybe me not knowing is for the best
Cause what can I do when I’m on house arrest
I ain’t no snitch
I can’t break the code
But that little bitch
Is living high on the road
I could make one call
That would end it all
‘Cause I got the pictures
And I saved all the text messages
Eleven more months of this ahead
Feels like pretty soon I’m going out of my head
And I’ll find Jimmy again some day
And I’m gonna make that little bastard pay
And I’m gonna figure out this mess
As soon as I get off of house arrest

Jeff, you never disappoint. Nice job! Smokin’ guitar tone, and a great story - there’s just enough description there to fill out the characters and let the listener know what’s going on. I think that’s why “I got the pictures, and I saved all the text messages” stood out to me, good line. High five!

Wow.... there's a whole movie in this song... great storytelling. And rocking with hooks galore, too.

Great storytelling here! Jimmy, the narrator...we get a sense of who both of these people are. Nice work.

Great sounding rock tune! Loved it. Guitar, vocals, the beat, the words & all.
