Feb 2022 instrumental synthwave funk big-production
This one got its title after the power in the studio dipped while I was recording. Although Storm Eunice has moved on, there's still a Met Office yellow warning for high winds in effect here until Monday afternoon.

I like how this is tagged as #funk thus capturing my attention.. and then it blasts off straight into space
this is an *adventure*

This twists and turns leaving suggestions for guest vocalists in it's wake. I'd just got a scenario where Al Green, Rick Astley and Aled Jones were all fighting over the mic when you wisely decided you'd had enough and plugged in your guitar. Definitely the right choice.
If this was cut up it would make theme tunes for half a dozen TV programmes.

Great instrumental piece, it has a lot of twists and things going on in it, hope the weather clears up for you!

I really like the different synth voices I hear. One of them sounds like a church organ with a wah pedal almost. The guitar sounds so great at the end I wonder what it would sound like with a bit of guitar at the beginning as well.

A pretty, pretty lofi number! Waited a long time for the staccato bass to finally show up! :) This song has such a friendly, somehow sunny feel, can't really put my fingers on it. Maybe it's the dominating major harmonies. When you build the layers up towards the end and the reverby guitars gets to solo, it reminds me of late 80s movie themes.

Mmm feelin this! …and I’m just listening out my phone speaker. Can’t wait to revisit this later with something better. First off, great drum beat! Everything sounds damn sweet over top of that baby. I really dug the change up around the halfway point. Not sure if you’re a Genesis fan, but it reminded me of those classic instrumental breaks on Selling England. Even the drums, ghost notes and all, kinda seem Phil Collins or Bill Bruford inspired! Also maybe it’s just your description above, but kinda made me think of high winds lol.
