It's not a great title, I admit (any alternatives greatly welcomed) but it's the crux of the song. A journey into a person's self-critical nature and lack of self-forgiveness to overcome their own burdens of the past.
I treat my men bad
I push them away
I don’t give them love
I don’t give them thought
I’m selfish that way
Call me a sinner
Call me a joke
Call me a liar
Call me a child
Call me all that you want
I treat my men bad
I take what I want
I steal from their heart
I eat up their kindness
And spit it all out
Call me a user
Call me a whore
Call me an asshole
Call me a cheat
I know you’ve got more
I treat my men bad
And expect them to stay
I tear them apart
And yet I’m surprised
When they go away
Call me deluded
And manipulative
Call me hypocritical
And pathetic
You would be right

A great confessional song with that perfect piano backing.

I really like the calmness of the vibe while the lyrics talk about all the madness they inflict on their men. I really love the line 'I eat up their kindness, And spit it all out' , the flourishes around the chords work really well to add drama.
The tone of your voice is great too, control it so well, and it sounds great, are you a fan of John Grant?
