Luck song 13 for me!
This is a story about bad timing for relationships. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.
I'll tell a story that only I could know
About how you and I left our hearts in the snow
But don't you worry, I changed the names
But the story is the same
There was a time when you wouldn't let me in
I tried and tried but there was nowhere to begin
Things are so different now, so much has changed
But the story is the same
And there I was with my heart in my hands
And my soul on my sleeve
You said some cryin' never hurt anyone
So you asked me to leave
And then one day after I had moved away
You showed up at my door with something left to say
If we could go now, you'd take the blame
But the story is the same
And there I was with my heart in my hands
And my soul on my sleeve
You said some cryin' never hurt anyone
So you asked me to leave
And now I'm here and that was long ago
Now you're just someone I used to know
Our paths don't cross, and that's a shame
But the story is the same
The story is the same
The story is the same

@tawny249 and @mikeb thanks for listening and the kind words!

This works in its honest simplicity. I like how it evokes country but is something a little different musically. Nice guitar playing, too.

The fast pace of the rhythm provides a different type of background for what is really a sad story that is all to familiar for many people.
