This happened last Saturday - it felt so charming I wanted to write a song to commemorate it. (Despite probable climate change issues) Gather ye rosebuds...
Surprise February day
The neighborhood’s come out to play
Grab the warmth while you may
It soon will go away
The park is full of children playing
Their moms and sisters sit nearby
The folks are soaking up the sunshine
Adding D to their well-being
Families straggling ‘round the pond
Laugh and smile at every joke
Couples stroll with darling dogs
A dude plays guitar out of doors
Surprise February day
The neighborhood’s come out to play
Grab the warmth while you may
It soon will go away
Our neighbors stroll by gaily chatting
Nice day to walk from temple home
Their children stop and play a game
Or push their brother’s stroller on
It seems I haven’t seen so many
For much more than a year and day
It feels relaxed and energetic
Cheerful like a holiday
Surprise February day
The neighborhood’s come out to play
Grab the warmth while you may
It soon will go away
So soon it goes away

Some lovely visuals in your lyrics. This does capture that surprise of actually having a nice weather day this time of year.

Lovely imagery. A warm day in the midst of winter does bring out the best in everyone! Nice uke, too.

It is always a nice surprise, if, as you say, a bit scary to think about why... still, nice tune and captures the joy of it!
