This is a stream of consciousness type of song, I am a florist that just got done with Valentines, so I am going to try my best to catch up :)
Lie to me tenderly
Break my heart with grace
Let me down easy
Don’t tell me you never loved me to my face
Oh O-o-oh oh whoa
Oh O-o-oh oh whoa
Pour salt in the wound, sparingly
Lower love into its tomb
Like you’re mourning something
Let me down easy
Let me down with grace
When you say you never loved me
Don’t say it to my face
Let me down easy
I could have told you
How it all ends
Oh O-o-oh oh whoa
Oh O-o-oh oh whoa

Hi, I'm in Andrea's alumni group. Wow, you've got a great voice and it works amazing for this song. I love that you shortened the 2nd verse to 3 lines to bring more longing and emotion. Love the imagery in that second verse!
Consider going back to the slow strum and repeat the first two lines of the song after the last Oh O-o-oh oh whoa - that would be a nice bookend :)

You better sing!!! Your voice is floating over the guitar strings like clouds, yet you are able to bring power and intent to the needed lyrics. So cool. Keep it up!

Wow, this is very quintessential sad-girl music.
It's quite heartbreaking.
And these lines... god this stings.
"Lower love into its tomb
Like you're mourning something"
The lyrics themselves appear as a statements. Depending on the tone in one's head, almost demands. But your vocal delivery and the somber mood make it obvious these are pleas... a begging to make the pain sufferable.
Wow.
Really well done.

I meant to ask you how Valentine's day went!! Love the rises and falls in this song. Like you are tentative and then sure again. Beautifully sad haunting vocals. I think it was meant to be if you wrote something this beautiful just letting it come up. Well done!!
