@helenseviltwin, @sapient and I all met up on a zoom call this morning - looked up some random wikipedia articles and each wrote some lyrics and a backing track, then sang one of them to the other.
This has:
J$ - Bass, ukuleles, keys, monotron
Sapient - sings!
Helen - does wordy words
If I give my bread to you, my friend
Will I ever eat again?
Can I share my bread with you, my friend?
That neither of us might starve
If I give my coat to you, my friend
I know I'll feel the bitter cold
So I'll share my coat with you, my friend
We can take it all in turns
Chorus
And who's to say that the riches of the world
Won't fall from the sky to keep us fed and warm
Bridge
But life is not a fairytale
And there's no kindly spirit
Looking over us to see
The good deeds that we do
Verse
So I'll give it all to you, my friend
I'll starve and freeze right here
It's a lot to ask of me, my friend
But I will adhere
Chorus
'Cos who's to say that the riches of the world
Won't fall from the sky to keep us fed and warm

Hhh discovered the Grim'ss tale. Wondered what Disney could do with that...
But you guys did a jewel ! So aerial and carefree.

fun instrumentation here... for some future fawm i think i might limit myself to ukes and synths and drum machines and noisemakers. curious how this collab unfolded in practice!
so... generous and genuine, yet... unhinged and sad at the same time? :)

I feel like I am watching the sound track to a wonderful animated short. This production is rich. Some of the instruments felt like stars falling. I love the hope in the lyrics.
