Other possible protagonists include:
1. A tardigrade, or the 'water bear'
2. A Hostess Twinkie
Wriggling in the mud
Neon sludge bubbles up
But a king on the throne he has won
Satisfied compound eye
Blithely writhing in piles of dung
The giants are gone
The triumph of pawns
The sky in a fog
The quiet, the calm
The tide moves along
But night finds the dawn
For life to live on
Moss gone wild in the mall
Buildings fall, trees grow tall
Body-shaped shadow baked to a wall
Radio playing low
Cutting out every second or so
The giants are gone
The triumph of pawns
The sky in a fog
The quiet, the calm
The tide moves along
But night finds the dawn
For life to live on

I love the laid back sunny vibe of this. There are some nice unexpected chords. Lots of great imagery. I like that we're only seeing the aftermath and left to wonder what exactly went down. Nice one!

Nice thick sound that is your trademark and an interesting melody that makes me calm and feel good until 2.17. WONDERFUL! I loved that scream, it was all the song ever needed.
Peace

great postapocalyptic tableau.
reminds me musically of Extreme III though of course you are more tongue-in-cheek.
still, a solo (or orchestration) by Nuno wouldn't be out of place. at least before the apoplexy hits :)

Lovely stuff. Some nice chord changes that really fit with the subject matter. I like the contrast in the chorus. Great stuff.
