So apparently there's a big storm about to hit the UK tomorrow, bad enough that people are being advised to stay in and not to travel. I'd been wanting to do something in alliterative verse, and it went well with the ancient bleakness of the whole thing.
Storm is coming with cold winds blowing
Rain beats on roof and door
Wild the wind, beware its bite
Doors barred from damage and death
Great giants groan and grumble
Ancient trees tremble and crack
On the wings of the storm
Coming with the dawn
Heralds cry on hill and plain
With the word of the world's ending
Through the night thunder roars
Black the birds of the bleak morning

Alliterative verse has such a rich history in the English language. A good choice for the style of music you've chosen here as well. I do hope things haven't been too terrible where you are! Here in this part of Canada we've also had a stormy day today. Schools closed etc.
