I struggle to come up with interesting vocal melodies, so any tips for that are welcome.
Sample:
Heart attack man - The choking game
I can't deny, I don't know shit anymore
I can't deny that I miss you even more
I can't deny, I was passed out on the floor
When you left, I could feel it in my core
Don't worry I'll be fine on my own
I lied that I'd rather be alone
Don't worry I'll be fine on my own
I lied that I'd rather be alone
Do you remember me?
'Cause I remember you
All the things we said
What we went through
Now it's just me
With my thoughts alone
I could think of you
But I'm still on my own
No more staring at the sunset
We would let the time pass
Everything went so fast
Yeah
Now I'm staring at the ceiling
I would let the time pass
I am stuck in my past
yeah
I can't deny, I don't know shit anymore
I can't deny that I miss you even more
I can't deny, I was passed out on the floor
When you left, I could feel it in my core
Don't worry I'll be fine on my own
I lied that I'd rather be alone
Don't worry I'll be fine on my own
I lied that I'd rather be alone
I lied that I'd rather be alone
I lied that i'd rather be alone

This is such a touching picture of a break up, the heartbreak is there in amongst the rubble. Great job. You really are bringing the yummy stuff this year. Growing, growing, growing....
Melody? I did without it for years, you'll be ok, when the time comes it will demand to fly out of you. For now concentrate on these really cool song ideas. Well done.

Good angst-y lyrics, the vocal captures the mood as does the guitar
Try picking out different notes in the chords and sing to those tones in different lines or segments, then return to the original note. You may hit on something that works. Also, sliding a half-step up or down from the chord tones you pick may nude you towards so meshing that pleases you, or has the desired effect.
If nothing else, it helps you decide what you don't want.
Oh, and I loved the fade out with the reverb. Maybe by next year I'll be able to figure out how to do stuff like that.
Good work!

Liked this. The guitar riff works well with the drumbeat I think. As for vocal melodies, maybe you could experiment with jumping from Db to Bb to mix it up a bit in the verse... the guitar is doing that and it's the sixth so might make it sound a little happier.
