Feb 2022 folk guilele americana
The moon looks incredible lately. (That sounds like a pick up line.)

I follow the moon with my eyes.
She is love in disguise.
A broken heart is all she knows.
Still, she glitters, still, she glows.
I hear her whisper in the night.
I’ll be your lover, be your guide.
If you can’t find me, you know I’m hiding from the sun.
My love is real: you’re the only one.
I follow the darkness on my path.
I lose my way and can’t get back.
If you can’t find me, you know I’m hiding from the sun.
My love is real: you’re the only one.
I touch the moon.
I touch the stars.
Without you, a broken heart.
If you can’t find me, you know I’m hiding from the sun.
My love is real: you’re the only one.

I love the way you personify the moon. The moon is clearly a she, the sun is implied as he. The mood is strong here. A woman seeking solace in the moon. How many ways do you think that has come out in our world? This feels so universal and so true.

I like the pace of this song. It's steadily moving but really laid back, which adds to the melancholy, moonlit path kind of vibe. Also, the alto register of the vocal. All these things make the simple arrangement effective

Great metaphor for the moon. Well done on the vocals. I like the idea of the moon hiding from the sun.

I am a massive fan of the moon and stars, well who isn't. But i adore any songs that projects imagery with these things so well. And the gorgoues vocal and delicate playing fit perfectly. A really lovely song and rendition

Your deep vocal tones contrast nicely with the guilele in this song. An interesting ode to the moon/lost love?

Love these lines!
Great vocal on this and love the simple melody, very folky. Some nice ideas in here, never thought about the moon this way...

I’m in love with your voice.
Did I get this right, the singer observers the moon and also speaks for the moon?
I saw the full moon last night as I drove home and stopped to look.
I’m struck by the minor notes you hit
Beautiful song
Did I mention I love your voice?
