Feb 2022 children fuc soprano-ukulele
My 3-year-old grandson Asher helped me with this song. He came up with the majority of the lyric on his own and played the toy xylophone. I grabbed the waterman soprano ukulele, every playroom should be stocked with one, and we did a recording on my phone with Garage Band. I didn't realize I had left the metronome on and couldn't hear it so was off as I played. I added a frog rasp to cover that up - hopefully.
On the way to Grandma Q's, that's me, they go under a train bridge. A train sometimes goes over their heads, so he had to tell me about the trains in the sky.
Trains go fast trains go slow
Trains go everywhere you know
Way up high in the sky
Trains on a bridge I spy
Trains on a bridge
In the sky

Great song. I try to write songs for my grandson and little ones do inspire us to be creative. They are such natural story makers. Sometimes we lose it as we get older. Listened to it a few times.

Ah this is so lovely. My nephew is at a similar age and loves trains too (also cars, anything that moves really) so it must be really nice to be able to share something like this with him, and to have him playing and singing too! Metronome not an issue, the uke sounds really clear and your vocal sounds great too. #tit4tat1

Lovely, and I love hearing your grandson singing! This was great to have the different percussion, and an ukulele always fits with a kid's song.

I love a train song! Especially a train song on a ukulele. Good work by Asher!
