Matthew 28: 16-17
“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.”
Let us go up to the mountain, by the town of Galilee
There we’ll meet him, as he told us, at the mountain by the Sea
His disciples, his commandment, not just for us but all of them
A great return, with the five hundred, women, children and the men.
Some believers, many doubters, they will see with their own eyes
None will doubt us, sight delivers, no one left to call it lies
There in the distance, see him standing, see him shining like the sun!
Fall down and worship, he is risen, he is yet the Holy One!
What words of wisdom shall be spoken, here upon this holy mount?
Open all your ears and listen, write it down, the full account!

The original rock opera of 40 Days was developed to be performed by my church band of six members. Some played more than one role, but it was specifically cast to use each member of the band. We recruited our pastor to portray Jesus. Our non-singing bass player, my son, served as narrator to introduce each "scene".
I have not yet figured out the actual designation of who sings in each song. The feel I'm getting from the lyrics is more of a conversational exchange, the model being Jesus Christ, Superstar.

Right now just new words. Have not yet matched them to music. Expanding my original one hour-ish rock opera to a more appropriate length. Whether or not it ever gets staged is a big question.

So are these new lyrics to go with the music composed long ago, or is the music still to come?
Have you determined who does what, when it comes to singing? Soloists vs 'chorus', etc?
Lot of work in a rock opera!!
