Feb 2022 acoustic-one-take
I've had the little guitar bit in the middle for years and years and years.
Even my wife recognises it, I play it so often.
Yesterday while writing Once Again I started playing it when I got stuck...
I decided then that TODAY was the day I would finally use it.
Wasn't really expecting this to come out, but I don't know what I was expecting really.
Btw - I sang the words wrong in the 2nd verse on the current demo. This is take 2, 1 was awful, 3 and 4 got worse. I might do it again when I've finished 14 songs!
Your melodies
Start me flying
While your words
Leave me crying
I've watched
Things of beauty
But your song
Brings them to me
Now
Surprise me
Now
Surprise me
You walk
While they're running
You work
While they're sleeping
And why
They all wonder
Must she change
Steal our thunder
Now
Surprise me
Now
Surprise me

sweet song @andrewrusse That opening verse is really nice, especially that closing couplet. Cool that you could work your old guitar part into the mix. I love when I finally find a home for something; it's so satisfying. I didn't follow the story so well in the 2nd verse, but still enjoyed it for the melody.
