Feb 2022 singer-songwriter indie-folk downtempo
I've been watching a show that's super sad (but gets hopeful at the end). This was thinking about the time in the show before it gets hopeful.
It's a song of disappointment about something or someone you put hope into that didn't deliver.
Thinking it'd do with a thought out hook and guitar line and shorter intro..but here's a scratch!
You’ve did it again
Left me hanging on a thread
Hope was high
Gotta get you outta my head
Oh oh ohhh oh
You leave me H-oh-oh-oh-oh-pless
H-oh-oh-oh-oooh-pless
you leave me hopeless
You did it again
What can I expect
It’s already done
But thinking I shoulda checked
Oh oh ohhh oh
You leave me H-oh-oh-oh-oh-pless
H-oh-oh-oh-oooh-pless
you leave me hopeless
What am I even sticking around for
Searching bread crumbs on the floor
If you wanted to you would
If you wanted you would

I'm behind, I spent a few days offline. Love the reverbed out guitar. Like the chord shift between the chorus and verse.

Of course hearing this, one would never know the source. It’s a good song about someone you hoped you could depend on.
Cool guitar sounds, a little unusual, ringing and reverberant. Puts us in an interesting space.
