Feb 2022 punk classical-music-theory
I've been reading a book (I know... quit bragging, right?) called Modulation a.k.a. On the Theory of Modulation a.k.a. Supplement To The Theory Of Modulation a.k.a. Jeesh, how many times has this been translated to English, by Max Reger from 1904. It's a list of modulation examples from every key to every key in major and minor.
I wanted to try a modulation that I haven't done / can't remember doing for a chorus and i minor to #vi minor came to mind so I tried that and i-iii to modulate back. Worked surprisingly well for a weird modulation. Definitely couldn't have been able to do it as smoothly without the book.

Love it! Speed metal pacing, catchy riffs and impressively twisty harmony. (classical music nerd here, came for the title...)

Daaaamn! This has some tasty licks! Love the energy. That book was money well-spent. :)
That solo-ish bit at the end was killer.

That Motorhead pace with punk guitars <3
Some parts reminds me of a few songs from Millencollin's SOS album
Really digging this one !
